The latest Freerider MX magazine contains an interesting interview with Gary Reid founder of the very popular ShowTime Yamaha team. The article provides a great insight into how the team has grown over the past nine years , with Gary commenting on how very “full on it’s been” and reflecting on how the show has escalated from just 2 shows a year deal through to 77 performances in 2008 alone. Growing commitments with the Crusty Demons show, coupled with commentary for the new Rush Sports’ Supercross championship to be held later this year, has brought about the handing over of a lot Gary’s ShowTime commitments to his right-hand man Jason Taylor. When asked if he had any new sponsors for this year, Gary responded by saying that this year has been more about cementing relationships with existing sponsors such as Gavin Eales at Serco, Yamaha and HSV.
