2009 Tony Rees Motorcycles Yamaha Tarawera 100

The first Tarawera 100 was run in 1977 and has grown to be a highlight on trail bike riders calendars. Held annually in July, this gruelling 100 mile (160 kilometres) cross country experience attracting more than 350 top class riders from throughout the country.

This event is organized by the Tarawera Trail Bike Riders Club and runs through the Tarawera Forest on a mix of ash, clay and gravel access roads and trails. The event is wound up with a prize giving dinner.
